Learning Overview

This new course will explore the depth and global significance of African wisdom traditions, with a focus on the Yoruba-based Isese worldview. We will dive into the spiritual foundations, cosmology, and ancestral practices that have shaped African societies for centuries from sacred Orisha teachings and the Ifa divination system to community governance, moral leadership, and artistic expression. We’ll also trace the enduring influence of African spirituality across the diaspora and its connections to global philosophies, wellness practices, and modern technologies. This is an opportunity to reconnect with ancient knowledge and imagine its place in our future.
