Dual Certificate Course Offerings

2026-2027 Cohort Launches May 2026

The dual certificate program includes 8 consecutive classes varying in length from  from 4 to 7 weeks each. Class time varies between 1.5 and 2 hours per course per week. Classes will run May 2026-February 2027 and are followed by a 3 month practicum March-May of 2027.

No more than 8 participants in a cohort. Upon enrollment in the program, each participant receives Ba, Josette, or Brandy as a personal advisor. You will meet with your advisor periodically to answer any questions or concerns.

Natural Learning Relationships: Whole Child Development

May-June of 2026

This experiential course introduces the Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) framework for supporting children’s development in love, trust, spirituality, safety, and social justice. Grounded in decades of research and practice, participants learn practical, evidence-informed ways to foster trust, empathy, and mutual respect while promoting well-being and justice in diverse family and educational settings. Designed for educators, caregivers, parents, and professionals, the course provides insight and inspiration for transforming everyday interactions into opportunities for connection, growth, and healing.

Creative Applications of Trauma-Informed Practice

July-August 2026

Transform your trauma-informed practice with creative, evidence-based approaches to healing. This engaging 7-week course explores the how visual art, movement, music, play, and storytelling can enhance trauma recovery through expression, regulation, and integration. Grounded in trauma theory and neuroscience, the course blends interactive Zoom sessions, reflective creative journaling, and an applied final project. Participants will gain practical, trauma-informed tools that emphasize ethical care, cultural responsiveness, and somatic-relational understanding—equipping them to integrate creative methods confidently and sensitively into professional practice.

Natural Learning Relationships Autobiographies

September-October 2026

This reflective and experiential course invites participants to explore the foundations of self-discovery and self-knowledge at the heart of the Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) approach. Through guided inquiry into key “field of knowing,” participants uncover deeper insight into their own development and the principles that shape authentic relationship The process fosters embodied well-being and empowers participants to bring greater awareness, presence, and integrity to their personal, professional, and community relationships.

Spiritual Development Across the Lifespan

October-November 2026

This 7-week experiential program offers an in-depth exploration of spiritual growth from childhood through later adulthood. Integrating insights from transpersonal psychology, developmental theory, and indigenous wisdom traditions, the program invites participants into meaningful dialogue, reflective practice, and transformative learning. Together, we will examine how diverse ways of knowing—intuition, empathy, presence, and direct experience—inform the evolution of self, purpose, and connection through the arc of human experience. Designed for professionals and seekers alike, this course provides both conceptual grounding and practical pathways for fostering spiritual maturity in personal and professional life.

Inner Knowing & Self-Knowledge

November-December 2026

This experiential course offers a structured exploration of inner awareness and the dynamics that shape perception, emotion, and choice. Through guided inquiry and reflection, participants learn to observe their inner life with curiosity rather than judgment, uncovering the patterns that influence relationships and well-being. As this understanding deepens, new perspectives emerge—revealing the interconnection between inner life, relationships, the world around us. The course cultivates insight, authenticity, and a renewed sense of meaning applicable to professional and personal contexts alike.

Remedies and Healing Out of Balance Situations

November-December 2026

Building on a foundation of embodied well-being, this course explores how practitioners can translate insight and empathy into effective action when addressing imbalance and dysfunction. Whether working with families, classrooms, or mental health challenges, participants will learn how the Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) approach cultivates presence, discernment, and restorative intervention. Through guided practice and applied learning, this program offers practical pathways for bringing wholeness and healing to the intricate patterns of human relationship with clarity, compassion, and skillful means.

Adult Development: Lifespan Growth, Meaning-Making, and Transformation

January-February 2027

Discover how adults continue to grow, learn, and transform throughout life—both independently and in relationship with children. This four-week intensive course invites participants to examine adult development across the lifespan, integrating foundational theory with reflective personal inquiry. Through the lens of meaning-making and transformation, learners consider how adults deepen their understanding, purpose, and wisdom over time, particularly through intergenerational relationships.

Professional Development: Becoming an NLR Educator or Consultant

January-February 2027

This advanced training prepares participants to serve as effective advocates for well-being within their communities and professional spheres. Through experiential learning, participants will deepen their capacity to engage diverse constituencies, accurately recognize needs, and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships. Emphasis is placed on applying Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) with discernment—knowing how and when to employ its methods to foster meaningful growth, resilience, and systemic balance.

Natural Learning Relationships Practicum

March-May 2027

This 12-week practicum provides an in-depth integration and application of the full Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) framework. Participants will consolidate their understanding of core principles, identify areas for growth, and resolve points of confusion or misunderstanding through guided supervision and peer dialogue. The course emphasizes skillful presentation—addressing common questions, challenges, and situational nuances across diverse audiences. Each participant will have the opportunity to design and deliver a presentation tailored to their intended context, whether in consultation, education, parent groups, community support, or professional conferences. By the end of the practicum, learners will demonstrate both confidence and precision in representing Natural Learning Relationships with clarity, integrity, and impact.

Being There: Experiencing Residential School through Plays by Indigenous Writer

  • Day/time TBD--once we have a list of those who want to join, we will work with Annie's schedule and those who wish to join to find a time that works for everyone.

Over the last four years the discovery of unmarked graves at the sites of Residential schools has brought awareness to the experience of multiple generations of Indigenous children in North America. Families devastated and children isolated and abused, these are stories that are hard to face, but face we must.

Indigenous playwrights have written to illuminate the complex experiences of children in these institutions so that we can begin to understand the residential school system and its ongoing impacts in First Nations communities. That is the goal of this course: through reading six plays by Indigenous writers from across Canada, we will discover the enclosed world's Indigenous children entered when they were taken away from their communities and how some survived and some succumbed.
