I am a relational consultant and trainer based in Sandpoint, Idaho, working both virtually and in person with organizations and families throughout Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. I bring more than two decades of experience in the human services field, shaped by work across residential care, education, legal systems, and community based behavioral support. My background includes early roles as a foster parent to two deaf toddlers, a teacher’s aide at a residential school for the deaf, a live in caregiver, and eight years as a direct support professional, along with experience as a wilderness counselor, case manager, youth mentor, and family mediator for the Superior Court in Yavapai County, Arizona. For eight years, I led the behavior department of a nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses, supervising behavior specialists, managing high acuity caseloads, and supporting individuals navigating parole, probation, and conditional release.

Today, I integrate my work as a behavioral consultant with formal training in Natural Learning Relationships and graduate study in the process of human development. I provide relationally grounded corporate training for human service organizations, including teams and staff within residential programs, as well as workshops and training events. I have developed and delivered a residential staff training program designed to support teams in shifting from compliance based models toward relationally grounded practices that foster safety, regulation, and developmental growth. I also offer consultation with families and experiential work, including developmentally appropriate rites of passage for boys and men. As a certified men’s coach, I support dads and young men who are seeking to step more fully into relationship with Spirit, heal developmental and relational wounding, and recover trust in their own wisdom.

I have worked with individuals from early childhood through later adulthood, and I support people in creating environments where safety, regulation, responsibility, and belonging naturally emerge. Grounded in the science of neuroplasticity and a deep respect for developmental process, my approach emphasizes context, relationship, and meaning over compliance or control. As part of my Natural Learning Relationships practicum, my current focus is on developing a regional cooperative network of behavioral consultants and creating a training curriculum to support independent consultants in transitioning toward relationally oriented practice. Above all, I believe that people do their best with the resources available to them, and that each person carries unique strengths and gifts that can flourish when the relational conditions are right.
